Frequently asked questions about Growth Factor Induced Therapy

What will happen with consultation?

Prior to your treatment, we will do a full medical history and consultation to confirm suitability for the treatment. You will be asked to sign a consent form and complete a consultation form and tick-list. The procedure, its benefits and potential side effects will be explained to you. During this time, you are welcome to ask any questions you may have. You will be provided with verbal or written after care instructions. We will make a recommendation for home care to further enhance your results.

What does the treatment entail?

A DermaStamp is a handheld stamp device with 140 tiny needles to penetrate your skin at a precise level. The depth of the stamp used is determined by the condition being treated. This creates micro injuries that trigger your skin’s self-healing process into creating new collagen and restoring damaged skin tissues. The DermaStamp is combined with multi-award winning AQ Recovery Serum Growth Factors (Growth Factor Induced Therapy).

What results can I expect?

You should be able to resume your normal daily activities immediately. Most patients notice a visible glow after the first session. Full effect may take up to three months due to the Growth Factor Induced Therapy that stimulates new collagen formation. Therefore, home care treatment is very important!

How many treatment sessions do you recommend?

A course of 4 – 8 treatments every 4 weeks is recommended on average – condition dependent. Once you have completed your initial course, you will benefit from having occasional follow-up treatments to maintain the results, while still keeping to the home treatment protocol.

Is AQ GFIT painful?

Even though the treatment is well tolerated, we do apply a topical anaesthesia before your treatment for your comfort.

What should I expect and do after a treatment?

Patients should be vigilant with their homecare product usage. The result is definitely affected by patient compliance.
Do not wash or touch the treated area for 24 hours following your treatment.
